ADOPT-A-BEARKAT PROGRAM
SHSU students can also register for our Adopt-a-Bearkat Program. The Adopt-a-Bearkat program at FUMC matches SHSU students with a family from the FUMC congregation. members and "adoptees" keep connected throughout the school year through meals, fellowship and phone support.
The changes and challenges of college life do not require you to put your faith on hold! This program is designed to give you the opportunity to form a relationship with a church family who can help enrich your expression of faith in many ways.
The goal of Adopt-a-Bearkat is to create relationships that will connect you to a local church congregation and its ministries and to provide you with supportive friendships with its members.
