As a prominent church on the downtown square, we assist those who are daily drawn into our welcoming doors.

Through our Mance Park Methodist Partnership we support the students, teachers and faculty of Mance Park Middle School through prayer, mentorship and encouragement.

Our youth live out the call to GO and serve God and neighbor through UMARMY (United Methodist Action Reach-out Mission by Youth). Our Great Day of Service serves hundreds in Huntsville and the surrounding Walker County. And our partnerships with the Boys and Girls Club, Good Shepherd Mission, C.O.M.E. Center, Hospitality House, ReVision Restorative Justice Ministries and many others enable us to GO and serve even more in the name of Jesus Christ.

At FUMC we provide opportunities to GO and serve our church and community, and connect with individuals in need of assistance and a loving, caring presence.

FUMC Huntsville takes seriously our call to live out our faith by serving those in need. In doing so, we share the good news of Jesus Christ. In the New Testament, James tells us to “be doers of the word, and not merely hearers.” Hands-on mission work is our response to this instruction.

Missions participants can be any and all members of FUMC or residents of Huntsville or the surrounding area that have a desire and willingness to do God’s work by serving those in need. Individuals can participate in just one or in multiple events, fund raisers or volunteer opportunities throughout the year. Any level of participation makes a difference!
